Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Caffe Nero in Bangor is a mixed bag. You’ve got the food game sorted with hot toasties and delightful mince pies, which are comforting in a casual way. But then there’s the service — Darragh is a superstar, getting rave reviews for his friendliness and attention to detail. But then you have the tall blonde guy who seems to have had his soul sucked out. It’s a classic case of the staff making or breaking the vibe.
While the food is decent and the coffee is serviceable, whether your experience is fantastic or a bit dreary depends on who’s behind the counter. If you catch Darragh on shift, you’re golden. Otherwise, you might just end up with a lukewarm coffee in a slightly messy cafe. Overall, it’s a safe stop, but not exactly a destination. 🥴
"The staff were so pleasant and helpful."
"Darragh is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always takes the time to make sure everything is perfect."
"It’s the service and staff that make us come back every week."
