The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
The Spice Tree is a classic case of 'good vibes only' but with food that doesn’t quite hit the same note. It’s got the friendliness down pat, with Jeff Skid pointing out the welcoming staff and decent atmosphere. But don’t get too excited about the food—it’s a mixed bag. On one hand, you’ve got generous portions and rich flavors, but on the other, you’ve got a menu that might leave you feeling a bit underwhelmed.
The service has been described as slow at times, and let’s not even talk about the price of poppadoms—£2 for something that’s basically a glorified air crisp. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit for a cheap meal, but don’t expect to be blown away. Just a solid spot that could use a little spice in its life. 🌶️😐
