Caramel Cafe is the kind of place that leaves you wondering why on earth you’d want to eat anywhere else—if only the hygiene matched the rave reviews. You’re welcomed with open arms, but let’s just say the cleanliness (or lack thereof) had some folks gagging. Maryan and Lutfi found the food and service to be exceptional, but the hygiene rating paints a different picture.
If you’re game for some Somali food, the lamb curry is a hit, but just don’t think about the state of the kitchen while you’re at it. It's a gamble, but if you’re rolling the dice, you might come out with a meal that’s to die for—just not literally. If you can tolerate the hygiene, your tastebuds will thank you.
