For the germaphobe whose motto is 'food is fuel'.
Spotless kitchen, rubbish food. Won't get sick. Might wish you had. Emergency calories only.
GAIL's Clifton Village is like that brunch place everyone hypes but you secretly know is overrated. Sure, Judy Holyer swears by their potato and rosemary sourdough, but the real question is, can they get your order right? The pastries look amazing, but with a 3.4-star rating, you have to wonder if it’s all just Instagram fodder. The atmosphere is cozy enough for a quick break from shopping, but don't expect the wow factor to carry through to the service.
More than a few reviewers have left feeling less than satisfied. From overhyped food to not-so-great service, it’s a mixed bag. If you're just after some decent bread and are willing to overlook the snobby vibes, GAIL's could be your fuel stop. Just remember: you get what you pay for, and here, that might mean leaving a little disappointed.
"Great bread - especially the potato and rosemary sourdough."
"Pecan cake was *chef’s kiss*."
"The strawberry cake was very nice."
