Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Welcome to Spicer and Cole, where the coffee is ace but the vibe can be a bit hit or miss. You might walk in and get greeted like royalty, or you might get someone who looks like they’d rather be anywhere else. The cooked breakfasts are spot on, with perfect poached eggs that could make anyone’s morning a bit brighter. Just don’t expect a Michelin star experience—you're here for the basics, and they do it well.
The menu has a decent selection for lunch too, but watch out for the rude staff that sometimes pop up like unexpected plot twists in a soap opera. Though don’t let that stop you from trying their coffee, which is, according to half the reviews, sublime. If you’re in the area, it’s a decent stop when you need a fuel-up, but don’t expect to make new friends with the baristas.
"Fantastic service from unflappable, professional staff."
"Great coffee, especially the flat white."
"Best brunch in Bristol."
