Tier Achieved:
For the mildly adventurous. Non-zero chance of the 💩s.
Great food, but the kitchen's had some "notes" from the inspector. Worth it? Probably. Pack Imodium just in case.
Star Coffee is one of those places that’s a cute little paradox. Brilliant for tea and samosas, with a vibe that screams 'I might just get shot for saying this', but somehow still feels like home. Saeed raves about the amazing samosas, while Abshir swears they serve the best in Bristol. Everyone's loving the authentic Somali dishes—someone even called their rice and lamb 'great' enough to take them back home. But don’t get too comfy; MF ABS and Stuart are lurking, ready to drag this place through the mud for serving food that resembles a cash grab more than a culinary triumph. Watch out for the staff, though, as Hamza reminds us that this isn’t a hangout for everyone. If you've got a strong stomach and a sense of adventure, dive in.
With a hygiene rating stuck at three, it’s like a game of food roulette here. Can you stomach the risk for those to-die-for samosas? If you're brave enough, you might just discover a hidden treasure beneath the grime. It's a gamble, but hey, isn’t that what life’s all about? 🤞
