Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Ottolenghi Spitalfields is the kind of place that tries to fancy up your dinner with some deep flavors and creative dishes, but somehow itβs left a few diners feeling underwhelmed. Weng was blown away by the grilled coffee chicken and cabbage, and Kristiina couldn't get enough of the flourless chocolate rum cake and miso tahini matcha coffee. But donβt raise your expectations too high; Lisa felt it was just 'good' rather than 'great.' The vibe is warm and inviting, and the staff are on point, but be ready for a bit of a wait if you're popping in for a dinner rush.
In the end, itβs worth a visit if you want a mix of solid dishes and a buzzing atmosphere, but if you're expecting culinary epiphanies, you might just find yourself wanting a little more than whatβs on your plate.
"Ottolenghi continues to impress with his great recipes."
"The desserts were the highlight for me."
"Food was nicely flavoured with subtle spices."
