The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Finley's is what you’d call a mixed bag – the kind of place that might just serve you the best haddock and chips of your life, but also leave you pondering the meaning of life while waiting 30 minutes for a portion of chips. The fish here is crispy golden perfection, but be prepared to dodge some underwhelming scampi that could use a lesson in hygiene.
The outdoor seating is lovely when the sun's out, but when the main cafe closes, you might find yourself at the mercy of a fish and chips shop that takes its sweet time cooking everything fresh. It’s a shame the service can sometimes feel like it’s on a go-slow. But if you’re in the mood for a coastal vibe with decent food, it’s worth the pit stop – just don’t expect Michelin stars anytime soon. 🌊🍟
