Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Tide Cafe is that cozy haunt you stumble into after a long walk, ready to treat yourself to cake and coffee. The views are allegedly stunning, but let’s be honest, the food seems a bit hit or miss. With some saying the fish and chips were dry and overcooked, it's a miracle the whole place hasn't been called out by Gordon Ramsay. However, if you’re there for a cheeky slice of cake or a caffeine fix, you’re in luck. The staff are friendly, making you feel at home, but a couple of unfortunate reviews suggest the quality of food might need a stern talking to.
Despite the rough patches with the kitchen, it seems like a solid place for a relaxed catch-up, especially if you’re not super picky about your fish. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but for a coffee date or brunch with a view, Tide Cafe has its charms.
"Both were absolutely delicious—the perfect treat after a long walk."
"The perfect spot in town, delicious food, great drinks, and incredible sea views."
"The pizza was absolutely delicious."
