The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Shades Restaurant is serving up classic comfort food, but don’t expect Michelin-starred cuisine. Laura raved about the service and the delicious food, specifically her ham quiche. But the mixed reviews raise a flag. Clare swears by the quiche too, but others like Terry had a less-than-stellar experience, especially for vegetarians. If you have dietary restrictions, you might want to pack your own lunch.
It’s a solid spot for casual family meals, but if you’re looking for something special, you might be better off elsewhere. At the end of the day, you’ll either walk away satisfied or wondering why you didn’t just stick to a takeaway.
