Great food, but the kitchen's had some "notes" from the inspector. Worth it? Probably. Pack Imodium just in case.
New Gourmet feels like a culinary scavenger hunt, with hygiene hovering at a risky 3/5 and a menu full of surprisesβsome delightful, others, well, not so much. Joshua's experience was a blast, discovering spicy sauces and great flavors, while Ciaran was all about that hot pot life, offering up a fun mix of toppings. But not everyone was as lucky; Professor Bharat found the setting basic and service lacking, while Sophie had a downright tragic experience with missing squid and a fried rice that looked like it forgot its friends.
Then thereβs Annie, who had to return her food and got barred, which sounds like a plot twist from a bad sitcom. If you're feeling adventurous and ready to roll the dice, head to New Gourmet, but be prepared to face the whims of culinary fate. You might find gold or a total dud.
