Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
The Boathouse Café is like that cozy corner of Exeter you never knew you needed. Simon Steel is all about that breakfast life here, claiming it’s one of the best spots for the first meal of the day. The new menu has folks raving, and let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to dig into those cinnamon buns? Chessie A is also on board with the savory crepes, particularly the salmon, cream cheese, and dill combo. Talk about a winning breakfast duo.
But while the food is getting all the love, it’s worth mentioning that the place can get a bit cramped, especially when you’re trying to squeeze in with a buggy and two dogs like Jen did. But if you’re looking for a charming little spot to chill with good food and even better coffee, this café is right up your alley. Just be prepared for a cozy squeeze.
