Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Ikeja Kitchen is a slice of Nigeria smack dab in London, and if you haven’t tried their pounded yam, you’re doing it wrong. Hygiene sits at a lovely 5/5, which is excellent considering how many Nigerian joints seem to forget about cleanliness. The reviews suggest that the efo riro is a must, and Mrs. Tosin is the kind of host who makes you feel like family.
While most diners are singing praises, there are a couple of sour notes in the mix. If you’re lucky enough to catch Ikeja on a good day, you’ll be treated to generous portions of jollof rice and deliciously spicy stews. But if the staff are having a bad day? Well, let’s just say that you might want to bring your sense of humor. If you’re up for an adventure into authentic Nigerian cuisine, this place is worth the trek. 🍲
