The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
St Giles Highgate Cafe can feel like a taste of home with its friendly staff and a vibe that’s just warm enough to make you forget your worries for a moment. The place is buzzing with chatter, and if you’re lucky enough to have Rachel or Anna serve you, consider yourself in good hands. You might even get an emotional pep talk along with your cup of tea. Seriously, who knew learning English could come with such a side of TLC?
But not everything is rosy. One poor soul had a horror story about sharing a bathroom with a stranger during their stay, which sounds more like a reality show pitch than an educational experience. Still, overall, it seems the cafe portion is the real winner, with plenty of good food and a warm atmosphere.
