Yien Restaurant is the place where decent food meets questionable service. Sheel Ghosh praises their roasted duck and Singapore fried rice, but then you read about Tia Le0ni finding hair in her rice. Ouch. Service can be a mixed bag, with some raving about Bianca’s attentiveness while others feel totally ignored. Max Klamkin gives it a thumbs up for kung pao chicken, but others found the portions underwhelming. The quality seems to dip with every visit, and there’s a lingering scent of missed opportunities hanging in the air.
If you’re feeling lucky and want to roll the dice for some decent Asian fare, Yien might be your choice. Just be ready for the potential of hair-raising surprises.
