Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Palate Restaurant is the kind of place that tries to do a lot but ends up being just a bit...meh. You might be drawn in by the promise of a great buffet breakfast, but as Linda Crossland points out, the dinner experience is a bit confusing, especially since you end up ordering food in the bar area. It’s like trying to get a meal at a pub but with less charm.
While some dishes like the fish and chips get a thumbs up from Wes Parker, others like the soggy tart crust can be a letdown. The service is friendly enough, but if you’re hoping for a standout meal, you might leave feeling a tad underwhelmed. It’s fine for a quick bite, but maybe save the special occasions for somewhere a bit more exciting.
