Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Plaquemine Lock is the place to be if you fancy a taste of Louisiana without leaving London. The fried chickenβs a standout here, with Amy calling it the best sheβs ever had, while the gumbo had a roux that tasted like it was made by someone who cares. The lively atmosphere and live piano made the birthday celebration even better. Plus, the seafood dishes like jambalaya and shrimp boil are winning hearts too.
But, letβs not sugarcoat it. Louisa got seated next to the toilet and it was less than ideal with all the noises and whiffs. Her crayfish boil was flavorless and left her wanting more than just a tiny portion. Itβs a mixed bag, but for a fun night out with friends and good music, you might just find your vibe here. π
"Definitely the best fried chicken I've ever had"
"The restaurant in London is the best for its southern food dishes"
"The seafood soup was enjoyable"
