Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Birley Bakery feels like a slice of Paris in London, and it’s a cozy spot to grab a pastry that feels like a warm hug. Gino’s croissant quest proves worth it—he’s all about that buttery goodness. Gabriella has been singing the praises of the pain aux raisins and ham & cheese croissant, which sounds delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a lazy Sunday morning vibe.
But while the pastries are stellar, the service can be hit or miss, especially during the lunchtime rush. You might be greeted by a staff member who’s a bit frazzled. Still, it’s hard to fault a place that nails the art of pastries so well. You’ll leave with a smile and possibly a few crumbs on your shirt.
"Nothing better than a slow walk and a mission to finally try what everyone keeps calling the best croissant in London."
"The pain suisse was perfection."
"The Almond pain au chocolat was so good, I ordered another two the next day."
