🏠 St Lukes and Christ Church, Sydney Street, LONDON, SW3 6NH
Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Cafe Portico is like that chilled mate who makes decent coffee and knows a nice spot to hang out without all the drama. The tuna cheese toastie and green tea combo is a solid call for a casual lunch while soaking in the views of the churchyard. Sharon and Julie, the charming sister duo behind the counter, serve up a quick bite with a smile that makes you feel all warm inside.
But let’s not pretend it’s groundbreaking. The Full English was decent, but missing a sausage? Come on. It’s like a burger without the patty. Still, if you want a laid-back vibe and haven't got high expectations, you could do worse than this little church cafe. Just don’t expect to be blown away or to find the next Michelin star hiding in the garden.
"Very nice little gem!"
"Service is quick and friendly."
"The staff were very lovely."
