The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
La Pappardella is like the Italian restaurant you dream about but sometimes wake up and realize it’s just another average night out. The food comes hot and is generally delicious, with pastas and pizzas that have fans singing their praises. Charnelle’s peppercorn steak? Apparently a winner. But the service can be hit or miss; some diners found it painfully slow, with one even having to go to the hostess to place their order.
It’s cozy, but if you find yourself waiting ages for your penne, you might just think, ‘Was this worth it?’ Overall, La Pappardella serves up solid Italian fare, but don’t expect to be swept off your feet.
