Marugame Udon is the kind of place that makes you rethink your loyalty to chain udon restaurants. Graphic Kitchen couldn't stop raving about how their fresh, hand-made noodles blow Wagamama out of the water. The small bowls allow you to sample more, and honestly, that’s a genius move. The vibe is casual, making it ideal for a quick lunch.
The staff is friendly and more than happy to explain the menu, as Sabrina Kaspar found out. But don't let the laid-back atmosphere fool you; the food is pretty authentic, even if the prices might sting a bit—Riku Ota mentioned it's about four times what you'd pay in Japan. You’ll love the udon, but be prepared to shell out some pounds for the privilege. If you're after a no-fuss meal that hits the spot, Marugame is a strong choice.
