The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Mediterraneo is that place where you think you're in Italy, but you're actually just in a slightly dodgy end of W11. The ambiance is as welcoming as you'd expect from an Italian joint, and the food has its moments. Nick Lovell managed to gobble down a steak that was cooked to perfection, while Vincent Ricasio raved about the tagliatelle con ragu and desserts that could almost bring a tear to your eye. However, some misfire was evident when a guest left feeling more embarrassed than satisfied, having been served an appalling meal. Apparently, bad reviews just get a cheeky reply from the management, which adds a layer of drama to this culinary soap opera.
In short, if you want a solid meal with some highs and lows, and don't mind a bit of management sass, Mediterraneo might just be your jam. Just don’t expect it to be the flawless experience some folks claim it is.
