The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Chalk Freehouse pretends to be upscale, but it’s just a bit too vanilla for my taste. Sure, the food is decent and the drinks are fine, but it lacks that special flair that makes you want to come back for more. The service has its moments, but don’t expect a Michelin star experience. If you’re in Chelsea and just want a pub meal, it does the job, but don’t expect to be blown away.
