Mediocre energy. You'd probably do better cooking at home.
The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest β your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Oasis Restaurant and Coffee Shop is like that clean cafΓ© you find on the way to nowhere, with a solid selection of ice creams and a veggie burger that costs a tenner. Not too shabby. Oliver Dyche raves about the fast and tasty veggie burger, but then again, other folks were left twiddling their thumbs for twenty minutes waiting for a ham and cheese toastie that was 'okay.' The vibe is pleasant, but donβt expect a Michelin star for that Β£4.50 sandwich. Debi Jayne Williams did find the ice creams pretty stellar, especially for vegans, so if youβre after a quick scoop while the kids run amok in the park, this might be your spot. Just don't expect the food to knock your socks off.
But brace yourself for the service rollercoaster. From rude staff to closed toilets, it seems like theyβre juggling a lot of balls. Sure, the hygiene is top-notch, but you might want to consider your options before diving into the menu. Bringing the kids? Pack a snack just in case. π¦
