Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Kennedy's Of Streatham is your solid fish and chips spot. The cod's crispy, the chips aren’t swimming in grease, and the staff are as friendly as a puppy in a park. Kelly Waterman was all smiles after her first meal in London, and honestly, who can blame her? The double-lined bag got a thumbs up from Nabil, which is a rare feat and should probably be considered a Michelin star at this point.
Of course, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Vernon Plum found himself staring at a £15.10 bill for a medium cod & chips, which made him question if he was dining in London or an alternate universe where fish is gold-plated. And let’s not even talk about Scott Ashwell’s fridge-sitting staff member – that’s a hard pass from me. But hey, if you want a classic chippy experience without the drama, this is your place. Just maybe keep an eye on the staff's sitting arrangements.
"Once we were able to dig into this plate of deliciousness, I couldn’t stop eating!"
"The fish was crispy and the chips not greasy."
"Pristine clean, aromatic atmosphere, and a lovely staff."
