Sushi Shimai is serving up sushi dreams without the fuss. Jing C raves about the buffet price for quality food, and honestly, who doesn’t love a buffet? The fresh salad and tender skewers are big hits, with John Royce Maguiza echoing the sentiment of good vibes and great service from the lovely lady who served them. They made his dining experience feel special—now that’s how you do hospitality.
Rylie Cruz was all about the authentic Japanese flavors, and it’s clear this place is a solid shout for sushi lovers. But, not everyone was on cloud nine. Janet Chuen had a few gripes about warm rice and slimy squid, which might give you pause, and Erjola Sadria’s soup came with extra 'ingredients'—plastic. Oops.
