Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Brasserie at The Royal Kings Arms Hotel is the type of place where you're hopeful about the experience based on the decor, but your expectations might just get dashed. Hygiene is 5 out of 5, so at least you know the silverware is cleaner than your average buffet chain. The staff are friendly, and that’s a big plus in a world where you've probably had your fair share of grumpy servers.
However, the food can be hit or miss. While some dishes like the sautéed chicken have gotten rave reviews, don't be surprised if your Christmas lunch feels more like a sad takeaway rather than a fine dining experience. If you're looking for a romantic night out, it might be worth risking it. Just remember to keep your expectations in check, and maybe ask for the chef to not serve you frozen veggies.
"It's a very nice place with attentive staff."
"Staff were very friendly and helpful."
"Great Early Bird Menu."
