Bavette is basically the food equivalent of a Michelin star chef wink. It’s got a hygiene rating of 5/5 and a Google score that screams class. Karl Panter waxes poetic about the bread and butter, claiming the latter is now a color in the Dulux range.
The beefy bavette steak is a must, and Jo Wales would happily return for the tartare. With a cocktail or two in hand and a menu that reads like a love letter to food, you’re in for a treat. Sure, everyone won't leave with their minds blown – some found it just a smidge ordinary – but if you're looking for a reliable spot for a proper meal, Bavette is where it’s at.
