Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Chao Phraya is the local Thai that tries to dress up but only manages to wear a slightly nicer shirt. The Holiday dΓ©cor might make you feel festive, but the food is just a bit too westernized for my taste. Sure, the sweet and sour chicken was decent, but letβs be real, it's not going to rock your world. Staff like Joe and Anne Marie bring warmth like a cozy blanket, but itβs just a warm blanket over a mediocre dish. Don't get me started on the tom yum that Lisa found overly creamyβit's Thailandβs version of a dessert soup.
Overall, itβs a solid option if you're craving Thai in a pinch, but if youβre looking for authenticity, you might want to march elsewhere. It's the kind of place where you think, 'This is nice,' while secretly wishing you were somewhere else with a bit more spice or authenticity. So if youβre in the mood for a birthday card and a decent meal, this fits the bill. Just leave your expectations at the door.
