Toby Carvery (Queens Arms) is like that reliable mate who always shows up when you need them but never brings the fun. The carvery here is solid, with Jakub and Ross W serving up the goods. Lauren Harwood sang praises for their friendly service, and the Yorkshire pudding beef wrap was a hit. If your idea of excitement is a generous portion of meat and veg, this place will do the job.
However, Emily’s attentive service couldn’t save the average food from being just – well, average. It’s a reliable spot, but you won’t leave raving about it. It’s like a warm hug from your grandma – nice, but you probably won’t brag about it later. 🥩
