Great food, but the kitchen's had some "notes" from the inspector. Worth it? Probably. Pack Imodium just in case.
Lahori Butt Karahi is where the flavors of Lahore come alive, and the hygiene rating is a solid 3/5βenough to keep you on your toes but not so low that you need a hazmat suit. Here, the Deer Karahi gets a lot of love, and it seems like the staff are as friendly as a bunch of eager uncles at a family reunion. Sharjeel Fakhar was all about that Deer Karahi and Malai Boti, claiming it tasted like home, while Mohammed Patel mentioned that the food never disappoints, even if the seating can feel like you're stuck in a freezer.
The decor may not win any awards, but the food here packs a punch worth risking a slightly chilly dining experience. Just make sure you donβt mind a few hiccupsβlike that dirty glass Mohammed Ibrahim encountered. If youβre looking for authentic Pakistani food without a side of pretentiousness, Lahori Butt Karahi is your spot to roll the dice. Just remember, you come for the food, not the ambience.
