Tier Achieved:
For the germaphobe whose motto is 'food is fuel'.
Spotless kitchen, rubbish food. Won't get sick. Might wish you had. Emergency calories only.
Morning Cafe throws you a curveball with its Chinese congee and noodle soups that seem to make up for its otherwise average offerings. The congee is praised to be on par with Hong Kong standards, so if you’re looking for authentic breakfast grub, this could be your spot. However, don’t get too comfy; some diners have had less than stellar experiences with overly sweet soups and terrible service. Timing seems to be a recurring issue, with orders going missing or taking forever to arrive.
Your experience may well depend on whether you hit it on a good day, but if you’re craving congee, give it a go. Just don’t expect a smooth ride every time.
"It’s the place to go if you want authentic Chinese congee."
"Up to the standard of the congee of Hongkong restaurants."
"Amazing noodle soup with garlic and tomato!"
