Morellis / Mauds in Carnlough is your go-to for ice cream, but don't expect Michelin star service. The whippy ice cream is unreal, and the Chocolate and Banana Smarties combo is pure bliss. However, if you want a proper dessert experience, brace yourself for some service pitfalls. One poor soul, Mia, had a meltdown because her 3,2,1's were served sans the promised soft serve. Apparently, the server didn't get the memo and offered a tiny spoon instead of the big guns. A small shop with no seating means you’ll either be eating on the go or standing awkwardly in the street. Not ideal, but if you’re in the area, you could do worse than splurge on a scoop or two.

In short, if you’re after a sugar fix, Morellis has you covered, but don’t expect to sit down and enjoy a full experience. The vibes are casual, and the service could use some polishing. Maybe save the serious dessert dates for another time.
