Good food, hygiene's had some notes. Probably fine.
The food's genuinely great and the hygiene issues are "Improvement Necessary" — not catastrophic. Worth a punt if you're not a germaphobe.
Akasaka is that place where your sushi dreams might come true, but first, you might need to roll the dice a bit. With a hygiene score of 3/5, it’s a high-stakes game. The eel in teriyaki sauce is well-cooked and served hot, but some dishes like the stir-fried noodles are a questionable venture that may leave you feeling oily and overly sweet. Jason had a blast with the prompt service and fresh sushi, while others, like Hoai Trinh, left feeling a bit betrayed by the noodle situation.
If you’re looking to impress with soft shell crab and chicken gyoza, you might be onto something. Just keep your finger crossed that the kitchen doesn’t have an off day. Friendly staff and a decent atmosphere are plus points, but tread carefully. There's a good chance you’ll come out loving some of the dishes while also side-eyeing a few others. A calculated risk for the adventurous eater, for sure.
