Connies Special Authentic Ghanaian Restaurant is the kind of place where you might roll the dice on a home-cooked meal, but sometimes that gamble lands you in a culinary minefield. Justice Rosegreen found the stew and omotuo to be seasoned well, but let’s not get too comfortable—E B had an experience that sounded like a food horror story, with burnt jollof rice and overcooked beef.
With a hygiene score of 5/5, you would think the food would reflect that, but alas, it seems like the kitchen has a few off days. The friendly waitress is a highlight, as Yaa mentions, but if your meal ends up being microwaved and served cold, the smile won’t save it. Might be best to take a friend and share the risk.
