The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
The Esplanade Fish Bar seems to be the local go-to for fish and chips, and honestly, who doesn’t love a good chippy? Paul and Richard are singing praises for the cod and chips, like it’s a culinary masterpiece. Stephen Vose can’t get over the thinly battered fish; he’s practically in love with it. Maria Pearce is excited about the vegan options, which means they’re at least trying to cover all bases.
But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Some folks have had service slip-ups, like Tim’s order missing fish—like ordering a fish sandwich and getting just the bread. And then there’s Suzy who was left with rubbery chips. But when the food hits right, it hits right. If you’re after a classic chippy experience, this is your place, just maybe check your order before you leave.
