Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Cafe 119 tries hard with its brunch game, and sometimes it actually lands a decent plate or two. The eggs Benedict? Not so much. Victoria Hurst-Frost had a watery experience which makes me wonder if the chef was trying to create a new dish called 'Eggs Splash-ment'. Donβt let Pete Goodfield fool you; he found the food amazing, but maybe he's never had good eggs in his life. From freak shakes to friendly staff, theyβve got the brunch vibe down, but letβs not ignore the complaints of greasy frozen food and service that forgot how to smile from Ryan Stephenson. It's a bit of a toss-up whether youβll leave happy or just slightly disappointed.
So, if you're in the area, you might enjoy a sunny morning with a decent coffee and a 'meh' breakfast, but don't say I didn't warn you about the inconsistency. At best, itβs a cafe trying to find its footing in a brunching world. Bring your patience, or at least a sense of humor.
