Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Haweli of Barnes is like that local Indian you keep meaning to try but never do. The reviews are a mixed bag, though. James found the food fragrant and fresh, while others have had their expectations shattered. Sam and Rose were all about the bhajis and the atmosphere, but Aisha had a meltdown over a mistaken butter chicken. It’s clear this spot is hit or miss, depending on who’s cooking.
The dining experience can be a lovely one if you catch it on a good day, but complaints about grease and blandness are hanging around like a bad smell. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a shot, but temper your hopes; you might just end up with a korma instead of your craving.
"Very fragrant and fresh produce"
"The food is amazing and the service is brilliant!"
"The onion bhajis were absolutely delicious"
