The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Rick Stein in Barnes is less about the food and more about the vibe. With a beautiful riverside setting, this place is perfect for those Instagram shots, but the food can be hit or miss. The crab rarebit is a solid starter, and the deep-fried crystal prawns don’t mess around either. However, some dishes, like the fish and chips, left diners wishing for more—think soggy batter and underseasoned fish.
The service, however, shines here. Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a meal out, even if you’re not blown away by the food. Just don’t set your expectations too high on the culinary front. 🍽️😬
