Riva Restaurant is where you go when you want to pretend you're fancy without the need for a tux. Alla was blown away by the squid main—seriously, how good can squid get? Everyone seems to be on the same page about the food being top-notch and the service being as charming as a puppy. Nick Wells had a crisis about keeping this place a secret, and Phil was relieved it was homely without the pretentious vibe. But there’s always that one on the fence—Maria thought it was good, but not mind-blowing. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a date or a night out where you don’t want to just eat takeaway on your couch.
