The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Monkey Puzzle Public House is like that slightly messy friend who you still love hanging out with. The front of house crew, especially Nikki and Alex, are absolute legends, bringing cheer even when the place is bustling. You're going to get decent grub here, but don’t expect Michelin star brilliance. The mixed grill might just save your day, but the decor feels like it hasn’t seen a refurb since the early 2000s.
If you can overlook a sticky floor and a kitchen that takes its sweet time, you might enjoy the atmosphere. Just be prepared for a meal that’s more ‘fuel up’ than ‘gourmet experience’. It’s clean, and it’ll fill you up, but you won’t leave raving about the culinary masterpieces.
