The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Village Spice Restaurant is that classic spot where the food is good enough to keep you coming back, but the décor could use a serious upgrade. Nigel, Beth, and Steve are all singing praises for the lovely prepared dishes that deliver on flavor. The chicken dhansak and lamb pathia seem to be the stars of the show, and let’s not forget about those onion bhajis that Terry raves about.
While you won’t be Instagramming the ambiance anytime soon, the takeout game is strong here, so if you just want some tasty Indian grub at home, you’re in luck. Just remember to bring your own booze, because they won’t be offering you a drink to wash it down. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a quick meal when you’re craving a curry, but don’t expect fine dining vibes.
