Half Way House is your typical pub that somehow manages to feel both charming and slightly chaotic all at once. David Morgan had a solid late lunch here, praising the decent quality burgers and friendly service. Chris Taylor hit the nail on the head with their lunch pint and bite combo—great setting and reasonably priced. But don't let the friendly faces fool you; it’s got its quirks. The upstairs dining area can be a bit of a letdown if you expect a menu and a table laid out. Niki Graham had a mixed experience, feeling like she was an inconvenience despite having a reservation.

All in all, it's a safe bet if you're after decent grub and a pint, but if you're after a perfectly polished dining experience, keep your expectations in check. Just know you might have to keep your wits about you during busy times.
