Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Greenhouse Cafe is one of those places where the food is decent, but it’s like watching paint dry while you wait for it. The vegetarian breakfast might make you feel like a rabbit, but hey, at least the hot chocolate is a winner. Lauren Hooker gave a glowing review, saying the hot chocolates were 'absolutely lovely' and the breakfasts were 'hot, presented well', which is great until you realize that the decor is a bit too 'garden center chic' for my tastes. Staff seems to be keeping their game up, but if you’re after a culinary adventure, you might want to take a detour.
Now, the queueing system here is a bit like herding cats, as pointed out by Pip Bensley, who noted it feels like 'motorway service areas'. Steven Hope also echoed the sentiment, saying the new acoustics are like an echo chamber from hell. So, if you’re looking for a quiet brunch or an Instagram moment, this might not be the spot.
"The refurbished restaurant is amazing and feels like a natural park."
"Our hot chocolates came out quickly and were absolutely lovely!"
"The new renovation looks great but is very noisy even when it's pretty empty."
