Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Querky Cafe is like that friend who has some really high highs and a few cringey lows. Kristina Oke found their Big Breakfast to be a hit, loaded with tasty pork-free meats, hash browns, and spicy mushrooms. Syed Bokhari is convinced it's better than the corporate coffee chains, and Nazma is all about their coffee and vibrant breakfast options. But when it comes to consistency, that’s where Querky stumbles—G’s experience with the Indian breakfast was a disaster, and Kieran's second visit had him waiting ages for his food.
With mixed reviews rolling in, it’s hard to say if it’s a goldmine or a gamble. You might get a delightful brunch or a plate of disappointment. If you’re around Shadwell, it’s still worth checking out, as long as you're prepared for the unpredictability.
"A hidden gem in Shadwell"
"Definitely recommend grabbing a coffee"
"Best coffee, both portion and quality wise"
