Subway is a clean nightmare. The turkey and ham on honey oat was about as exciting as watching paint dry, while my husband’s big beef melt actually saved the day... for him. The staff were efficient and friendly, but the ambiance? More like a fast-food graveyard. You’ll find outside seating if you fancy sweating under the blazing sun while surrounded by sticky tables. Honestly, you’re better off with a questionable sandwich from Greggs.

Don’t get me started on the new touch screens. They’re slower than a tortoise on sedatives, and the last time I checked, I didn’t come here to play the waiting game. If you love bland food and a cleaning crew that's apparently on a permanent coffee break, this is your place. Unless you enjoy eating while surrounded by grime – then I suggest you keep scrolling.
