Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Scone Man is like that cute little tea shop that promises a delightful afternoon, but sometimes feels like it’s just going through the motions. The afternoon tea is a solid choice, with sandwiches, scones, and prosecco for just £40 for two—if you can snag a table without queuing for ages. The atmosphere has that quaint British charm, but don’t expect to be blown away by the scones; they’re good, but not ‘fall to your knees’ good.
While the majority of the reviews are glowing, with folks like Piyapat and AP singing praises for the friendly staff and lovely setting, the wait can be a bit much if you’re starving. Just be prepared that your scone expectations might need to be dialed back a notch or two. It’s a reliable spot, but not exactly groundbreaking.
"It’s small but they fit a good amount of tables."
"It’s such a lovely shop with a very British vibe."
"Very lovely place for an afternoon tea."
