El Pastor is the new Mexican kid on the block, and it’s got potential, but it’s not quite a fiesta yet. The tacos can be hit or miss—a spicy chicken taco might set your taste buds alight, or you could end up with a dry brisket that makes you question your life choices. The ambiance is decent, and the staff are friendly, but you might find yourself on a rollercoaster of flavor.
Ciro, the server, seems to know his stuff and will steer you right if you’re unsure what to order. The unlimited chips and dips are a cheeky touch, although those chips tend to disappear faster than your will to eat more. If you’re after a chill spot for tacos and margs, El Pastor could work, just keep your expectations in check.
