TARO JAPANESE RESTAURANT

Taro Japanese Restaurant does a decent job at clean dining, but the flavors might have taken a vacation. Anup called the Tonkatsu Ramen a highlight, but the atmosphere was described as cozy and calm—more of a calming nap spot than a culinary adventure. J George couldn’t get enough of the garlic chicken and pork katsu curry, claiming they were delicious and generous, but not everything has the same luck.

Anne and Melissa had a rough time; from overcooked teriyaki to missing orders, the service seemed to be as chaotic as a sushi roll in a blender. It’s a bit of a mixed bag here; if you know what to order, you might just have a good time. If not, you could end up with a plate of sadness. Not a bad spot if you're craving comfort food, just keep your expectations in check.
