Wagamama is like that friend who’s always around but never quite wows you. The space is stylish and the staff, including Shane, are top-notch, but the food can be hit or miss. The menu covers all the Japanese bases—from ramen to donburi—but it’s not setting any culinary hearts on fire.
You’ll enjoy a decent vegan selection, and while some dishes like the bao buns can impress, others like the duck might have you questioning your life choices. It’s a safe bet if you’re in the mood for something casual, but don’t expect to be raving about it afterward. Just another day in the life of a chain restaurant.
